Ragoût en timbales pour Roi Ubu
Sinfonische Collage nach B.A.Z.
This piece combines quotes from timpani parts from a total of 24 famous works of the operatic and concert literature to a "symphonic collage", freely adapted from a composition of Bernd Alois Zimmermann. The three movements are entitled Marcia, Capriccio and Recitativo.
Total duration: approx. 10 min.
The work is dedicated to Arend Weitzel’s teacher, Rainer Seegers.
